Registration is open for the 2024 CA Offshore Race Week, featuring coastal races racing down the California Coast in May/June 2024.
The ultimate part of the California Offshore Race Week is that this event starts in the sunny city of Santa Barbara, runs out through multiple scoring gates while weaving through the Channel Islands, and then finishes in beautiful San Diego.
Scott Klodowski, 180 Marine’s operations team leader will be an active crew member on John Gallagher’s Gunboat 62 Chim Chim. This Morrelli and Melvin-designed catamaran was built 15 years ago in South Africa yet has remained incredibly active in the last five years: not only has she raced in the 2015 and 2017 Transpac races to Honolulu at 2225 miles each, but she also raced over 1000 miles in the 2018 San Diego-Puerto Vallarta Race and a few editions of California Race Week as well. Scott Klodowski races and continues to refine and tune this beauty!

There wasn’t another boat around, and for that matter, there wasn’t another boat in the competition that matched up with the Corsair. But you can be sure as heck we were still going to name it the year’s Best Sportboat. Which we could. So we did.”
